Understanding Odds — Three Formats

On bgb Bet, odds may be shown in three formats: Decimal, Fractional and American. All three are different ways of expressing the same outcome. The example below makes this clear:

Example (Team A): Stake ৳200, odds decimal 2.25 = fractional 5/4 = American +125. If the bet wins, total return is ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 stake). If the bet loses, you lose ৳200.

Favourite example (Team B): Odds decimal 1.50 = fractional 1/2 = American -200. On a ৳200 stake the return is ৳300 (৳100 profit).

Stake (on Team B) ৳500

Return if Team B Wins ৳1,000

Loss if Team A Wins ৳500

In a limited-overs match there is no draw, so one of the two sides will win.

Bet Slip — Single and Multi Bets

The bet slip is your list of selections. If there is only one selection it is a single bet. Adding multiple selections together makes it a multi bet (or accumulator).

In a multi bet all selections must win together. If one loses, the entire ৳100 is lost — combined odds 1.40 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.28 (approximately).

Betting Exchange (Back and Lay)

On the bgb Bet betting exchange, assuming decimal odds of 2.00:

BACK Team A (৳1,000): If Team A wins, ৳1,000 profit (before commission); if they do not win, you lose ৳1,000.
LAY Team A (backer's stake ৳1,000): Liability ৳1,000 (৳1,000 × 1.00); if Team A does not win, you receive ৳1,000 (before commission); if Team A wins, you pay ৳1,000.
